The wheels on the bus go round and round.. round and round...

Wall-paper removal supplies: $50.00

Giant staple remover for carpet tacks: $18.99

Band-aids because you got a tack stuck in your finger anyways: $2.38

Face masks because there's so much dust you sneeze a lot: $5.99 for a pack of 100.

Finding out that there is water damage to ALL the hardwood floors under the carpet and that behind the wall-paper are a million and one holes... PRICELESS (and yet.. so utterly decieving!!)

Dad's house isn't going so great. Under all the carpets, there is water damage. The flow path indicates that there was a flood of some sort stemming from the bathroom (that I would like to add is all this atrocious color pink... even the toilet) In the living room... they tried to "seal" it down with this nasty white paint. It almost looks like someone left the bathtub running and it just over flowed. Luckily there isn't any water damage in any of the bedrooms. These people also had cats, and apparently they pissed wherever they felt like it because when we pulled up the carpet, the pad was disintegrating, and it was STILL WET!.. So GROSS. These people must have been color blind because their color schemes were like something out of a horror movie. The funniest comment when when Marsha and I were taking down wall paper in one of the bedrooms... EWW... I was like.. "this is the kinda house you find bodies burried in the walls in." She was like "THANKS.. ohh.. a new nightmare for me.. how exciting".. LOL.

So my dad is gonna call the lawyer tomorrow.. because this wasn't an "AS IS" home... and the people that sold it were the original owners.. and they knew he was gonna take out the carpet, and on top of that.. they KNEW the damage was there.. that's just shitty, shady and deceiving. So he's gonna fight for like $5,000 back because he'll have to replace all the floors and 3 walls in the house. He already knew in 3 years he was going to have to replace the roof, the hot water tank and some other random thing in the house. Anyone know anything about real-estate laws?

In all.. It's a sweet house.. nice setup.. it was built in 1946.. and it needs a lot of updates.. but not too major... It really just needs to personal flair (which my dad thinks that I can add) It's in the process of being decoratively gutted.. apparently these people never got out of the 70's.. it's kinda funny.. the first thing that struck me when I walked it was the fact that there was an old school Schmidt's Beer clock hangin in the garage. Speaking of hanging.. the basement is kinda creepy...There's this old shady "pantry" that looks like it MIGHT have been used as a torture chamber.. not to mention the stains in one of the bedrooms looked like blood-stains.. even tho we know they aren't.. it didn't soak thru.. it's still pseudo creepy!!

Anyways... I'm going back to hang with Steph on Thursday... she so Rocks the house. Company picnic on Saturday.. which side-note.. I found out that C is too straight-laced for me.. LOL.. as in currently seeking a BOYFRIEND... WHOOPS!

But that's all I'm going to sleep now.. I'm bushed!!
